Last weekend, I went to Dallas with friends to visit and surprise one of our best friends who moved there. We had the best time hanging out, drinking some Trader Joe’s wine, and most importnatly – checking out Dallas brunch and the rodeo.
Sixty Vines
Brunch is a THING in Dallas. We all rolled out of bed and into brunch and then saw all the lads and ladies that actually looked nice. Hair was curled! Pictures were being taken! But Sixty Vines took us under their arm (or maybe took pity) and made us feel very comfortable and sold us on their fabulous wine selection. Also, coffee was served with chocolate cookies.
The Rodeo
My friend’s significant other said that she never comes home happier than she does from the rodeo. I think that was true for most of us (well, except one who had a leetle moral quandry with the whole calf roping thing…). I very quickly got into the spirit and was frantically texting my husband and friends about the cowboys who stayed on the bucking horses.
Afterwards, we went to Billy Bob’s and tried to dance like these people and tipsily talked about how NICE two-stepping is and how we wished people danced like this in college. So, yeah, we love Texas now.
