Review: This bucatini is ridiculously good. We’ve been making our own tomato sauce for a few years now, but this recipe really elevated the concept of a simple tomato sauce. It does have anchovies, which I know can be controversial. We happen to love them, but for all of you who are not there yet (don’t worry, you’ll get there) in this recipe, they get cooked down and end up adding a sh*tload of umami to the the sauce.
It is also fairly easy, and very weeknight-friendly. The majority of the time comes from the onions being cooked down and then the whole peeled tomatoes getting all cooked down. Give it a try – I know you have the Dining In cookbook already.
